Lesson 5.4 Closet & Doors & Fireplace

Closets and Doors:

• Open the closet door, if shelves exist, starting with the top shelf in the closet, clean each shelf and its wall from top to bottom, using a degreaser cleaner, warm soapy water, and a clean towel.
• For metal racks (these words not spoken), clean and polish with glass cleaner.
• Clean baseboards inside the closet using a degreaser cleaner, warm soapy water, and a clean towel.
• While the closet (narrator says closed vs closet) door is open, clean the inside of the door, the frame, hinges (all sides), and doorknobs/handles (handles not spoken).
• Close the door, then clean the outside of the closet (narrator says closed vs closet) door, the frame, and the doorknobs/handles. (handles not spoken).
• Repeat these steps if multiple closets exist.
• Repeat these steps to clean all doors leading in and out of the living room.

Now, refresh the hand-held bucket with warm, soapy water and get a clean towel.

Fireplace: (if exists)

• Do not use any chemicals in the fireplace.
• If ashes exist inside the fireplace, using a dustpan, gather the ashes and place them into a trash bag.
• Using the hose part of a vacuum cleaner, remove any remaining ashes, then wipe the fireplace frame with a damp towel.
• If the fireplace has doors or a cover, ensure they are cool to the touch, then clean with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth, depending on the material.

Now, refresh the hand-held bucket with warm, soapy water and get a clean towel.
